What Is PHI?

Photohydroionization® (PHI) is an advanced air purification technology

Developed in the USA by RGF® Environmental Group Inc., PHI utilises a broad-spectrum, high intensity UV light targeted on a hydrated quad-metallic catalyst to convert water vapour in the air into airborne molecules of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂).

Once these air cleaning molecules come into contact with – and neutralise – a pollutant, they revert back to Oxygen and Hydrogen. 

Is it safe?

YES! Hydrogen peroxide gas naturally occurs in the air and was originally discovered in the 1800s.

It has been shown to be produced naturally via photochemical, chemical and biological processes.¹

Hydrogen peroxide is naturally created in our atmosphere whenever 3 elements are present: oxygen molecules, water vapour and energy (sunlight photochemical).

PHI technology imitates the way nature cleans and purifies the air outdoors

Within the PHI air purifiers, a broad-spectrum (100-380nm) UV light reacts with a proprietary quad-metallic catalyst – made up of Titanium, Rhodium, Copper and Silver – which uses the water vapour in the air to create an advanced oxidisation process resulting in the creation of low-level airborne H2O2 molecules.

These airborne “cleaning agents” then circulate in the treated space, effectively “seeking-and-destroying” a wide range of particulates as soon as they are introduced, including:

Hydrogen peroxide is a well known and highly effective cleaning and sterilising agent that has safely been used in healthcare and other industries for over 100 years.
